It’s not often one experiences a near perfect Fall day. For me that would include a meal with friends, a visit to the mountains and plenty of cool crisp weather with lots of sunshine to enhance photos I might take. Today was such a day.

We drove to Charlottesville to the Milan Indian restaurant to meet with friends who had attended Woodstock School. This was the day to celebrate that connection. About twelce or so gathered there and enjoyed an Indian buffet. Afterwards we went to Beth Norcum’s home for chai and more catching up.. It was our intent to spend the rest of the daylight hours on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

We were on the parkway around 2:30 or 3:00. Many people had the same idea as foliage was at or near peak color. One of the problems was that beautiful trees were often not accessible to photograph from a moving car and there was no place to stop. We just enjoyed them and went on

The first pics were taken on an iPhone and a Canon Rebel Ti. The ones that zoom really well are the Canon. Enjoy.
