Fathers Day early celebration.

 This past Saturday our 2 daughters planned and executed a Fathers Day mini reunion. The 4 fathers were Jimmie Miles and I, Jeff Miles, and Mark White.

To recall for history here were the participants:

Bill and Lib Kinzie, Mark and Lisa White, Jeff and Cathy Miles, Rachel Walmer and daughter Ellie, Devin Miles and friend Claire, Jimmie and Sharon Miles. 

Cathy and Jeff hosted all 12 of us around her large table with  a scrumptious meal. We reminisced about our family histories and our hearts were warmed with the telling. We have been celebrating important family times with Jimmie and Sharon for nearly two decades since we moved to Midlothian. There were 4 generations represented!! How exciting to see our eldest daughter, Lisa, then her oldest child Rachel who we renembered seeing shortly after she was born, and then Rachel's 2year old daughter, Ellie.

The setting is the outside back porch of Jeff andd Cathy's home on a sunny Saturday evening after the supper. Four generations of  of  Bill and Lib's Kinzie family for posterity in one placw. All having a wonderful time being together.

A late Spring Day Tuesday

 It's 4 pm, I've had lunch and a nap after a morning visit to our bank  my our weekly pilgrimage to our Publix grocery store. In a little over a month I will celebrate my 89 th birthday. My small wish is to still be here and celebrate my 90th. I was beginning to notice a significant inability to remember short term memory, began using honey as it is the rage now and began to improve in that area, I believe! I'm experiencing some new stiffness and pain in my fingers and arms which is slowing up my violin playing. I need a walker or similar conveyance to walk outside or my cane. We have carpeted floors so I prefer to walk sans other assistance.

 On the left is a picture of me that I took just to remind myself what I looked like in late May of  2026. Thought I might have needed it for a passport renewal picture! I usually wear glasses so this one isn't the way the world usually sees me.

I have lost some of my sight due to glaucoma, but thank goodness my close up vision seems to work rather well.I'm still playing my violin and will see whether I can get an example pasted here. The problem is that I'm not very adept at doing all the wonderful things that this technology allows. It says somewhere that videos may only be added here through my Mac computer. 

It's now a little after 5 pm and I've had several requests from Lib to assist an activity. She's a little weaker than I so this activity was interrupted several times. I would return and sometimes had to relearn a skill as it is presented for the iPad. I don't blog frequently as you my reader may infer from my entrys. I'll stop for now.....
